Ugandan Thunder Comes To RBC April 30th

On Sunday, April 30th, at 6 pm thunder is gonna be booming at Riverside Baptist Church. But it won’t be a storm…it will be the African children’s choir “Ugandan Thunder.” This is a 20-member choir, made up of kids from the Royal School Orphanage in Mityana, Uganda. The kids, a different group each year, are given the opportunity to tour the United States, singing God’s praises.

Ugandan Thunder is a truly unique singing group, and we can guarantee they are like no other group you’ve ever seen perform at church before. These kids are incredible singers and dancers, and their voices and energy are enough to make even back row Baptists want to jump up and praise the Lord. The kids also play African drums and interact with the audience, sometimes even bringing audience members up on stage to join in the dancing. People of all ages are invited to come see this awesome group.

There’s more to the choir than singing and dancing. These kids are also helping to feed kids just like them at orphanages back in Uganda. There’s no charge to attend the performance, but there will be an offering taken during the service to support Pennies For Posho, a non-profit organization that provides food for thousands of children in Uganda every day. This will be Ugandan Thunder’s third time at Riverside. They did an awesome job both times, and we’re sure that anyone who comes to see them on April 30th will be in for a treat! If you’ve got any questions about this event, call RBC at (828) 648-4709 or send us a message by clicking here.
