The Riverside Men’s Ministry is all about the Father’s business through missions, discipleship, worship and work. Bearing one another’s burdens; so fulfilling “The Law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2)
The Men’s Ministry has done numerous projects including ramp building & home repairs. They have teamed up with the HBA (Haywood Baptist Association) to reach out to the people of Haywood County who are in need. Most Tuesday mornings, you can usually find a group of Riverside’s men working on a ramp somewhere. They can always use some more willing volunteers!
The Riverside Women’s Ministry is active and growing. Their goal today is the same as when they started, to nourish and develop the women of the church to be strong servants of God through several avenues. Their gatherings often consist of craft nights, ministry fellowship, bread baking classes, and special occasions such as a ladies’ tea.
They also attend conferences and have gone on several weekend retreats. The RBC Women’s Ministry is always looking for ways to encourage women as wives, mothers, daughters, friends and as God-fearing saints of God!
Riverside student ministries is raising up the next generation of Christian leaders that are going to change the world. We strive to make this a place where the students can connect with God, grow in their faith, and go out to tell the world about Him.
Our Young Adult Ministry provides opportunities for fellowship, for singles and couples. Our mission is to reach in, to love and encourage one another, and reach out to other young adults not yet plugged in to the local church. We get together for food and game nights, a Christmas gathering, and other occasions throughout the year.
The JOY Group (Just Older Youth) is a group who serves God as those who are a little older, but still young at heart.
We have been on trips to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Fontana Lake, and the NC Arboretum. We sometimes visit Strawberry Hill in early spring, travel to eat at the Farmer’s Daughter restaurant in Chuckey, Tennessee, and have cookouts and covered dish lunches. At Christmas, we have a special meal, and on the first Sunday of May we celebrate Senior Adult Day with a catered meal.
Yes, we love to eat and fellowship, but we have also made items for shut-ins and made knitted or crocheted items to donate to Operation Christmas Child.
