Student Ministry Discipleship

At RBC, the students in our student ministry (pre-K through 12th grade) have many opportunities to be involved in discipleship and growing their faith.

We have grade-specific Bible Study Groups on Sunday mornings and Discipleship Training on Sunday evenings. Wednesday evenings we have AWANA ministry, and throughout the summer, there are fun things to be involved in that seek to encourage students in their personal walk with the Lord Jesus.

AWANA Ministry

AWANA ministry stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed”. This is taken from 2nd Timothy 2:15 where the Scripture encourages us to  study the Word of God and handle it correctly. That is the foundation of this ministry.

AWANA is for students from 2 years old to 12th grade. Students have a Bible study time, games, and work to memorize Scripture passages so the Word of God will settle deep in their hearts. We also serve a meal to all students, and this ministry goes through the school year.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

VBS is one of our most important missions we do as a church. Our goal is to give the children a solid foundation of who Jesus is and have an authentic Christ-sharing relationship with the students. We want to see kids grow in love with Jesus. And here at RBC our mission is to share the gospel with students of all ages.

So much prep work and prayer goes in to VBS every year, and we can’t wait to see the look on the kids faces when they walk in the front door. We love all the little children and most of all we love Jesus.

Other Student Events

Throughout the summer, students are invited on different nights to enjoy our “Fun in the Son” summer ministry events. RBC students have fun spending time at church doing crafts, having movie nights, water balloon fights, and other fun events.
